- Turn on a radio or television to know what actions you should take. (See radio stations below)
- Close all doors, windows, and air vents to keep the smoke level lower inside your home.
- If advised to shelter-in-place, use an air cleaner to keep the room safe against smoke.
- Evacuate, if advised to do so.
- Follow the evacuation routes (see the Maps page to see the major evacuation routes in the City of Laguna Beach) and leave the affected area immediately with your emergency kit .
- Drive carefully as smoke might reduce visibility considerably.
- Dial 911 in case you cannot evacuate or are trapped.
- Keep the lights on if you are trapped at home, so that your home is visible to the rescuers.
